Celebrity Cruises Drops Massive 2028–2029 Lineup: New Edge Ships in Europe, Japan Season, Antarctica & More!
If you are already daydreaming about your next big ocean escape, Celebrity Cruises just gave us a major reason to start planning ahead! The premium cruise line officially dropped its full lineup for the 2028 and 2029 seasons, and to say it is ambitious would be an understatement. We are talking sailings across all seven continents, brand-new ports of call, extended seasonal stays, and incredible onboard upgrades that will make getting to your destination just as exciting as being there.
Celebrity is clearly leaning hard into what today’s travelers want most: longer itineraries, more time in port, and deeper, more immersive destination experiences. Here is everything you need to know about where Celebrity is heading and why you’ll want to get on the booking list early!
Four Edge Series Ships Take Over Europe
In its largest Northern European season to date, Celebrity is making a massive statement by deploying four of its highly acclaimed Edge Series ships—Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Apex—across the region. Having four of these modern, design-forward ships in European waters gives travelers an unprecedented level of luxury and choice.
A Refreshed Celebrity Beyond Returns: After a brief hiatus, Beyond returns to Europe in 2028 following a scheduled 2026 dry-dock renewal. When she hits European waters, she’ll boast brand-new venues, including the Celebrity Pool Club—featuring two outdoor bite-and-sip spots, Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol—as well as Bora, a new al fresco Mediterranean restaurant on deck. Look for her flagship 14-night Norway and Iceland sailings departing from Southampton, combining Reykjavik’s geothermal magic with the stunning Norwegian fjords.
Galway, Ireland Debut:Celebrity Apex will mark Celebrity’s first-ever visit to Galway, Ireland, as part of a new 12-night British Isles route exploring Scotland, England, and Ireland.
Historic Returns to Bari and Egypt:Celebrity Constellation and Infinity will return to Bari, Italy, for the first time in over a decade, opening up a incredible gateway to southern Italy. Meanwhile, Infinity brings back sailings to Egypt—complete with immersive overnight stays in Alexandria so you can explore historical sites without feeling rushed.
A Full Season in Japan & Southeast Asia Overnights
Outside of Europe, one of the biggest headlines is in Asia. Celebrity Solstice will spend her first full season in Japan from April through October 2028 after receiving her own major ship-wide refresh.
Instead of quick pop-in visits, these itineraries are tailored around Japan's most famous seasonal moments, including cherry blossom season, Golden Week, the Gion Matsuri festival, and autumn foliage. The ship will offer overnights in Kyoto and Aomori, as well as 17 calls to tropical Okinawa.
Further south, Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will navigate Southeast Asia with extended overnights in Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, Hanoi, and a bucket-list New Year's Eve overnight in Hong Kong to watch the world-famous fireworks over the harbor.
Bucket-List Sailings: From Alaska to Antarctica
Whether you prefer icy glaciers or tropical trade winds, the 2028–2029 lineup has something special:
Alaska & Hawaii Expansions:Celebrity Equinox makes her Alaska debut, offering seven-night open-jaw sailings between Vancouver and Seward. You can easily pair these with optional land-based Cruisetours to Denali, Talkeetna, and Anchorage. Prefer the beach? Equinox will also offer roundtrip Hawaii sailings departing directly from Los Angeles—no long-haul flights required!
Antarctica & South America: For the ultimate bucket-list adventure, Equinox will head down to South America for 12- to 16-night voyages, including a spectacular 16-night New Year’s holiday sailing through the icy landscapes of Antarctica, Chilean Fjords, and Patagonia.
Bermuda & Fall Foliage:Celebrity Summit will run Bermuda sailings out of Cape Liberty with two full overnights, before shifting to 12-night Canada & New England routes from Boston with an overnight in historic Québec City.
